Q: This product smells bad. Did it expire?
A: This product contains betaine HCL which has a natural fish-like smell. To keep our products as pure as possible, we don't add any manufacturing agents to mask the smell. The product is safe to take even though it may smell rancid.
Q: There was no cotton buffer inside the bottle when I opened it. Is this product defective?
A: We have found that adding the cotton ball to products that contain betaine causes the capsules to stick and clump together. To avoid this problem we do not add cotton to this product.
